Overview

Bará is a cement design company founded by architects with a passion for minimalist materials. They craft floor and wall coverings, along with decorative objects. Portinos partnered with them to refresh the brand, modernize its digital presence, and define a clear visual language for both end consumers and the construction industry.

The challenge

Bará approached Portinos with the need to elevate their brand as the company prepared to expand into new product lines and markets. Although they had begun developing their brand internally, they lacked a professional identity system and cohesive strategy.

One of their main challenges was how to clearly separate and communicate with two distinct audiences: end consumers interested in decorative home products, and construction professionals seeking technical solutions for large-scale projects. The absence of visual hierarchy, segmentation, and unified messaging risked creating confusion and limiting their growth potential.

To support its vision, Bará required a complete rebranding, including a brand-new logo, identity development, and the creation of a system flexible enough to evolve with its business.

Our solution

Brand System & Identity Redesign

We created a new logo and brand identity that reflects Bará’s minimalist, architecture-inspired vision. The symbol — a custom “b” — acts as a framing element and gives the brand a distinct, modular presence. We also introduced a sub-brand, Bará Home, to differentiate the consumer offering from Bará Cementos, and unified both under a clear brand system with tone, color, and typography guidelines.

Website Redesign

We designed and developed a responsive website that clearly separates audiences and streamlines the user experience. The site includes a product catalog with filters, downloadable architectural plans, a project gallery, and a blog — all supported by a digital style guide to ensure visual and functional consistency.

Print & Sales Materials

To support in-person outreach, we created branded sales tools including business cards for both brands, product catalogs tailored to each audience, and technical sheets for architects — all designed to match the new visual identity and brand tone.

Results

Bará’s renewed brand identity now fully reflects its architectural roots and minimalist vision. From strategy to execution, the repositioning aligned every touchpoint with their dual audience — end consumers and the construction sector.

  • Clear segmentation between B2B and B2C audiences.
  • New logo, sub-brand, and visual identity successfully implemented.
  • Brand rollout across website, catalogs, packaging, and social channels.
  • Positive internal reception and client feedback following the relaunch.
